Dustin Fraser, Registered Physiotherapist, Clinic Owner
BScKin, MScPT, Kinetacore FDN Certified, SFMA Level 1 Certified, Titleist Performance Institute Certified, BikeFit Level 1 Certification
Dustin completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary followed by a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta. Since then he has pursued continuing education in manual therapy, functional dry needling (FDN/IMS), injury prevention screening (SFMA), and is certified with the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), a specialized system for assessing and treating golf related injuries.
A former alpine ski racer, he has chosen to work in sports therapy and private practice orthopaedics for most of his career, most notably as the Canadian Men's Alpine Ski Team physiotherapist from 2013-2016. During this time he traveled the world putting his physiotherapy and ski knowledge to use both on and off the hill and became especially familiar with complex knee injuries. In 2016 Dustin decided to take a step back from travelling with the ski team to spend more time with his family and to relocate from Calgary to Vancouver Island. After starting a physiotherapy clinic on Quadra Island two years ago, with a one-on-one treatment focus, Dustin and his wife Lissa have been excited to bring the same quality care to the Comox Valley. He hopes to contribute to a shift in health care from treatment to prevention and to transfer his passion for the outdoors and sport to his clients.

Andrea Lyon, Registered Physiotherapist
MPT
Andrea Lyon earned her Master's of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. Her path to physiotherapy was solidified during her undergraduate degree experience at Dalhousie University, where she played on the varsity hockey team while completing her Bachelor of Science in neuroscience. This brain-body dual focus is one she continues to emphasize in her work today, in order to promote mindfulness and positive body awareness while optimizing movement.
A Vancouver Island local, Andrea is an avid outdoors-person herself and is always looking for her next adventure to enjoy through hiking, skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and/or cycling! She also loves connecting with others through activity and has been involved in introducing sports to children with neurodevelopmental delays, as well as coaching at the provincial U18 hockey level. These experiences led to her initiation of the Athlete Development Program in the Comox Valley, which looks to utilize her physiotherapy expertise to promote whatever being an athlete and feeling like an athlete means for each individual.
Her passion for physiotherapy started, and continues, as a passion for empowerment through movement. Whether this looks like regaining mobility and strength later in life, training for high level sport success, or addressing neurodevelopmental challenges early in life - Andrea loves to help others see and work towards their greatest potential.

He now enjoys outdoor pursuits; in the winter, downhill skiing and backcountry skiing, in the summer months he likes being on the water kayaking and canoeing and year round he enjoys trail running. He completed his first ultra marathon in 2018 and decided to name his first born after it.
